So far Ruby seems the most accurate to her other self. Which is understandable given how young she is. The origins of these characters all seem the same for the most part, that then changed part way through. I think we should use this to probe Uictoria for as much info as possible on her past to use on her primary counterpart.
Ask Uictoria why she ever joined the Order in the first place.

Well again we're in bit of a pickle. Not much to do other then flirt, listen, or talk. We've done the latter enough that there is nothing much more we can say without telling him our whole life story, whenever the former is suggested it's ignored, that leaves listening. So sit on our flanks and wait for them to do something.

Well, lets try to figure out which demon is lying to us. I know it looks like pip right now, but I have a feeling Ann set her up.

>big, sparkly diamond! Supposedly it's cursed and has a demon in it or something."
heheheh
gems and demons you say?
In this multiverse, the demons are always involved with the gems.

Hey, is it illegal to not report someone's else's plan to do a crime in this world? Right now, it sounds like you are doing something that is technically legal: just dropping of an item in a place where you aren't trespassing. You also already did the robbery, so I don't know anything about a crime yet to happen and don't qualify as a conspirator. Legally, do I have to chose between reporting your theft and also pip's double murder or being a lawbreaker?

which of these applies?
or is it more like "you're guilty if you stand next to someone who we think looks funny"

emerald is a foal. not a lawyer. plus we've seen their faces. let's not entertain or give voice to this idea for the time being.

We need to know so that we know how not to endanger ourselves later. Someone in this compound ought know if this place has a 5th amendment or not and people who regularly plan illegal things ought know what is and what is not safe to let people know. Being able to let family and friends keep up plausible deniability is an important skill and we are a loose cannon of ignorance right now.

How in the world are you arguing that knowing what the law is here is a stupid thing to do? If it's an issue with somehow making ourselves look untrustworthy, we can just ask ruby what the law is once we are alone again.

it's a fair question, but I can't really imagine Emerald asking it, also Ruby is just learning how to read she probably wouldn't know, and asking anyone else would make us look like we are asking "how can I sell you guys out while saving my own skin?"

if you really want to ask that question then we should either try to find a book on current laws or ask someone indirectly that's neither affilited with the order or the clown gang.

and if you really really want to ask a clown gang member then Strawberry would be the best bet. As she would know both the law and have a slight understanding of why we ask if we phrase it right.

If we wanted to sell them out, wouldn't we just go tell the order everything and as such not need to know if keeping secrets is illegal?

Emerald wants to ask what the colt is thinking, but he is polite and waits to see what Tourmaline says. He ponders the guiltiness of Pip. She certainly admitted to frying the two ponies as well as Ann, but he still isn't exactly sure who is telling the truth. Ann is bound to his word, so he supposes he could force her to tell the complete truth with some well put words.

He begins to wonder if she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, like he is a lot of the time. Thing about guards is that they don't care much, they'll still throw you in jail for a while just in case.

"Alfalfa and Rat. Run a up top for a few hours. See if any of the Order are talking about the bodies outside the wall. Also, see if you can nab a paper tomorrow and the day after as well. I'm curious what they'll say about these events happening all at once." He says, leaning forward with his same smug look.

The two nod, and are out the door with masks on in seconds.

The conversation then swings to what they want to do with the beacon.

"I have some things stewing in my mind, but I'm not sure how difficult it'll be to get another beacon, so I have to be as mischievous as possible. Something that will give the Order a nice big black eye."

"Steal a bunch of their cursed artifacts?" Eda offers up.

"How about releasing the political prisoners in their dungeon?" Uictoria responds.

"How about hanging insulting pictures all over and outside the castle?" Ruby pipes up.

What does Emerald do?
