... and I need it.

Catch up on
>Last thread, we escaped from the giant, met a queen, and found an old friend. While AJ and Mirria sleep, Rarity and Ludwig started talking, and a story being told.
"I don't think just going randomly will work."
"I already said that."
"Maybe the crow's nest?"
"Not much visibility at this hour, but if you want to..." He leaves it in the air.
I dislike having to climb the mast, but soon I am up. I grab the binoculars that hang from a chain on it and look in the direction she flew to.
I focus in the small dot over a cloud, but it's too far from me to see.
"I think I saw her," I comment to Jenkins.
"We could go check if it's her in the rowboat," He suppresses a yawn. "If that'd calm you, I mean."

"Yeah," I nod. "Thanks."
He shrugs and walks to the rowboat, gesturing at me to follow. I offer to help rowing, but he says he or Seer will teach me under the daylight.
Soon, we are under the cloud, not making a noise. I'd tone down the light, but don't see any sort of dial in the magic device.
We squint up. It does seem like it's her, doing something with the cloud.

I look around, and my heart misses a beat when my eyes fall upon it.
A small battleship, shaped like an egg and with small holes all over it's upper chassis -most with horns popping out of them- is coming to us.

I hide behind Jenkins and gesture at Salud to go tell Seer what's going on, and she flies off.
We try to paddle away, more in principle than anything else, but the ship already saw is and bumps into the boat.
"Wait!" Says sa voice from one of the holes. "Don't run, the fucking door is--" The top door is kicked open, and an earth pony emerges from it. "DIdja open it?"
"Yep," answers the earth pony. "Hello hello guys! You know what hour is it? The WE FUCKING ESCAPED AND KILLED OUR ARMOURED GUARDS HOUR! Go us, hoof bump!" He lifts a hoof cheerfuly, but it bumps against the railing, "Whoops, kinda drowsy from the fight. Anyway, you with the army?

"No." I snap before reigning over myself.
Jenkins cringes, but stays silent.
"Oh, fish mongers I guess?" Jenkins nods effusively. "Alright then, you wouldn't know where's the closest base right?" I shake my head. "Goodbye, then. Hope you don't find any of those horned motherfuckers." He walks to the floodgate, but stops short of entering it. "You wouldn't need an escort back to the mainland, wouldn't you?"
"No!" Jenkins nearly shout. "No, I mean, we still got to fish something."
"Huh. Is that so?" He stands giving us a closer look.

Electricity is still gone in my neighbourhood for whatever reason. It'll be image-less for now, as I am in a public library and don't want to spill spaggethi. Bumping and writing next update.

"Look, we aren't with the unicorns or pegasi, isn't that enough?"
He looks at us for a moment, working his jaw, and then nods.
"Alright. You aren't relevant enough to cause trouble anyway," He opens the floodgate and hops in.
Soon after, they are gone.
"Next time," Jenkins grabs the paddle, "Next time, we are fish mongerers."
"But I am not--"
"I don't care. All of us in the Sterling are commiting military treason to some degree." He starts paddling. "This is a war we are talking about, a war that the higher ups like having. Wars like these eat and shit you out if they catch you." He spents a moment in silence. "And assholes like that guy always pop up when you aren't looking, I swear to the earthbones..."
Half an hour later, we are back in the ship, where Seer and Salud await us. Jenkins and Seer share a look and walk down to the bunks, leaving me alone with Salud.
"What happened back there?" She asks me after giving an odd look to the door they closed. "How did you get away from the unicorns?"

"Earth ponies took over it and didn't care enough about me and Jenkins," She visibly relaxes. "But what were you doing anyway?"
She shakes her head, "I was searching the right clouds to make a platform you could stand in, but there aren't many with all these rains. You are probably too tired to stargaze now, anyway."

Heading back to my home now, if there's light now I'll keep updating.

"We could still stargaze from here?" I offer.
She doesn't seem all that excited for it, but nods.

>27, sixth moon
She just wanted to stargaze. We talked a bit, but were tired and slept after a few minutes.
I can't honestly say I get why's that she sleeps in the crow's nest, but I guess it's up to her.

>38, ninth moon
Rarity stops braiding.
"Nearly four moons?" Even if Ludwig can't see her lifted eyebrow and small smirk, her tone is more than enough.
"I asked him about it once. He said he was too bussy living his life to write it down."
Rarity doesn't say anything.
"Alright they probably where at it like bunnies." She groans. "What would you expect? They were in the middle of the sea. Days and days of nothing."
>38, ninth moon

I wake up in the bunks to the sound of several ponies stepping in the deck.
I can hear Seer talking with someone whose voice I can't recognize, but not well enough to make out their words.

Remember that you can make Rarity ask a question anytime

I open the door and nearly have a heart attack.
I don't think I had ever seen so many unicorns at once outside a battlefield.
"And--" Seer stops midphrase for a heartbeat, something I wouldn't notice if I didn't know him so well. "--as you can see, my capture of the ship was successful. I hve subjugated the original owners and plan to drop them to the clossest regiment as soon as I can."
"Hm, I see," The unicorn that I guess is their leader walks to me like a prouling cat and evaluates me much like one. "We could take 'em off your hooves, you know."
"WIth all due respect, I had planned to collect the reward, sir."
The unicorn keeps walking circles, and I have the awkward feeling of that he isn't checking me out purely as a combatant. "I could use the money myself."
Seer clears his throat, "I have a few barrels of ale I could do without, sir."
A few of the unicorns lift their gazes from examining the deck at that, and give pressing looks to the leader.
"Fine, fine," He walks to Seer again. "Wine it is, boys. Do grab it from the store room, would you?"
A few nod and walk in, but I barely notice them.
A wing appears up in the crow's nest.
Fuck. Salud's morning stretchings. And last I heard, unicorns have far more interest in fliers than in earthlings.
I have to bite down a shout.

Hate to do this after only two updates again, but I don't think I'll have time for another update in the ten minutes I have left before Things and Stuff force me away.
